Nokia Introduces New E Series Mobile Phones In The Country



Nokia India has taken wraps off two new models in the E-series range, namely E71 and E66. Both the mobile phones are positioned as handsets with mobile email compatibility and related preloaded features making the handset supporting more than 1000 thousand email accounts from almost all the leading service providers like Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail.

The Nokia E71 phone incorporates QWERTY keyboard. Besides, the slide phone allows users to access easy-to-install and easy-to-use professional and personal email. They can also download e-mail attachments such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint or PDF files. Functions like calendar, contacts and tasks are some of the features that make E71, a complete business dedicated phone.

The E66 measuring 107.5 x 49.5 x 13.6 mm, offers unique additions like, an orientation sensor that automatically optimizes itself for full screen viewing or activates the silent mode when the device is turned over. The E71 measuring 114 x 57 x 10 mm, also enables users to edit MS Office documents.

With upto 8 GB external memory, both the phones come integrated with 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera, assisted GPS (A-GPS), and Nokia Maps for navigation. The phones also include fast browsing with HSDPA, wireless LAN, and 3G connectivity. Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 come with a built-in encryption functionality for both the device memory and for the memory card, and include integrated mobile VPN support.

“The newly launched Nokia E71 and E66 are designed to enhance the way we work and increase productivity in our daily lives. They are meant for people who lead a mobile lifestyle and want quick and easy access to their personal and work email. With both of these devices, we have responded to consumer feedback by making calendar and contacts available at the touch of a button,” said Devinder Kishore, Director-Marketing of Nokia.

The E71 and the E66 will be available in grey and white colours across the country for Rs 22,949 and Rs 23,689 respectively.
